Berkley Silent Book Club Brings Neighbors Together

In episode one of Ramshackle United, we sit down with Katie Dehn, co-host of the Berkley Silent Book Club, for a conversation that covers everything from her origin story and what brought her to Berkley, to her community engagement, and the benefits of reading in public. We talk about what Introvert Happy Hour actually is, the funny and charming moments that happen when people read quietly together, and Katie’s career journey. A warm, honest, and inspiring story that sets the tone for everything Ramshackle United is here to do.

I enjoyed the conversation with Katie. I’ve never heard of Silent Book Clubs before, so I had to look them up. Interestingly, there are some in Charlotte, but also one of the first ones is from Novi Sad, Serbia. I’ll go check out the one at Lenny Boy Brewery here:-) Books and 🍺 here I come 🙂
